A 10 or 20 hour sewing course which is designed for the intermediate dressmaker. 

 

This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to challenge themselves with a new pattern and has made a garment or two. Perfect for the intermediate dressmaker who knows how to read a pattern but needs fitting help, technicial help and general sewing assistance. 

 

The lesson is a free-style lesson with everyone making something diffferent, these are some of the things you may cover in the lesson but it will depend on the pattern you have chosen. 

What you will learn:

Pattern details, tracing techniques, markings and sizing 

The perfect fit, taking guidance from the tutor to advise on fit and pattern adjusting for fit. 

Zips - inserting invisible and exposed zips

Darts, tucks, pleats, gathers

Buttonholes 

These are just a representation of what you may cover in the class but it will depend on your pattern. 

 

What you will need:

 

Sewing machine (we have limited sewing machines so if you need to borrow one please advise at booking stage) 

 

Sewing kit

 

Your chosen pattern and all that is needed for this. Please discuss this with us when booking this course. We like to be prepared so an idea of what pattern you are doing before the first workshop would be great
