This is a brand new masterclass being offered by Make at 140 and Common Sense Studios, working together we are offering you the chance to print your own fabric and sew up into either a simple zipped cushion or a zipped purse.
Spend 2 hours exploring patterns and printing on fabric with Emma in the Print Studio. During this time you will be shown how to print patterns on to your purse or cushion fabric using a range of simple screen printing and block printing techniques. You will then be able to choose and print your own from a range of gorgeous screen print ready patterns or have a go at creating patterns of your own using simple block printing techniques. There will a selection of colours for you to choose from on the day so you make your design really personal.
Following this part of the workshop you will then begin the construction of your purse or cushion. With the guidance of Lynne she will show you the construction and techniques of inserting a zip, finishing edges and compleet your finished totally handmade item.
What You will learn:
Block printing, simple screen printing techniques, working with different paints, how to print.
Making a cushion or purse you will learn how to insert a zip, finish edges and sew together your finished product.
What you will need to bring
A sewing machine for the second class (if you need to use one of ours please do get in touch to book as we have limited availability)
A sewing kit, pins, scissors etc.

All equipment for the printing.
Next stage beginners (must have used a sewing machine before to sew a least one project or garment)
