Do you feel like jumping into the world of sewing clothes but have not idea where to start? Do you already know how to use your sewing machine, have you been on our beginners sewing course or have sewn cushions, bags and bunting but not sure where to start with clothes?

This one day sewing class is perfect for you. We will guide through the full process either sewing a top, dress or Pyjama bottoms which will start you off on your new “Me Made” wardrobe.

We will be using the Tilly and the buttons Stevie top/dress or the Lotta Dress or the Joe PJ's for the guys, you choose. To show you how to measure, fit and sew a garment with all the tips and tricks along the way.

What you will learn:

An intro to commercial patterns

Measuring and choosing the right size for you

Assembling a pattern

Pattern Marking

Cutting out the fabric according to the pattern

Seam techniques

Attaching a facing

What you will need:

Sewing machine threaded and working (if you require to use one of our machines you will to advise us during booking as we have a limited amount of machines available)

Sewing kit

Fabric and notions for your top/dress/PJ pattern size and length – a detailed tick list will be sent to you once you have booked on the course with full details. We will guide you and give you all the info when you book.

What we provide: Your choosen pattern, choose for the lotta dress, stevie top or dress or the Joe PJ's (for the guys) Please let us know your choice when booking.

Level: Dressmaking beginners but will already know how to use a sewing machine

This is the perfect course for those who have been on our Beginners Sewing Course.

Please note we try to calculate how long a workshop will be and plan to finish each garment in the allocated time but this isn’t always possible, If you are unable to finish in the workshop time we will make sure you are confident with your garment to be finished at home.

We need a minimum of 4 people for this workshop go ahead, if this number isn’t achieved by one week before we will be contacting you with an alterative date, if you are unable to re-schedule we offer a full refund. Myself and my daughter came in to choose a pattern to get us back into sewing again.
