Regular price $84.00This course will teach you the techniques to make a pencil pleat header curtain. We will be making a small-scale sample curtain to show you the processes involved. You will learn how to cut the fabric and lining, how to create mitred corners and how to sew on a header tape. At the end of the course you will have a basic understanding of how to make a pencil pleat curtain and how to correctly measure a window and work out fabric amounts including pattern repeats.
What you will learn:

What you will need:
A sewing machine – if you need to use one of ours please let us know when you book
A basic sewing kit – scissors, pins tape measure etc – we do have a supply of these if you need to use ours.
Thread to match face fabric and thread to match the lining.
1m of face fabric - a mid-weight stable woven fabric old curtains (upcycle - as this is a sample curtain it doesn’t matter what it looks like)
1m of lining fabric – light to mid weight stable woven fabric (upcycle as this is a sample curtain it doesn’t matter what it looks like)
1.5m of 3” pencil pleat header tape (this will be for sale in the make shop with 10% off)
