Have you seen those RTW dungarees in the shops and thought I can make those?! Well now you can, in this one day workshop you will sew the Waves and Wild Heyday dungarees.
These are a relaxed fit dungaree/overall, they have tie straps which don't need undoing in order to take the garment off! You can use button holes or loops.
There are several pocket options for these dunagrees, in the class we will be popping one pockect on and any extra you like can be done later. They are deisgned to be long with a rolled up hem.
This is the perfect next stage beginner sewing project.
What you will learn:
Measuring and choosing the right size for you
Assembling a pattern
Pattern Marking
Cutting out the fabric according to the pattern
Seam techniques
Top Stitching - please note if you want to use a contrast top stitching thread this will take longer and you probably won't finish your dungarees in the workshop.
In this workshop we will be covering the loop and tie technique for fastening, if you want to do the button hole technique please note you probably won't get these finished in the workshop.
What you will need:
Sewing machine threaded and working (if you require to use one of our machines you will to advise us during booking as we have a limited amount of machines available)
Sewing kit
Fabric and notions for your dungaree pattern size and length – a detailed tick list will be sent to you once you have booked on the course with full details. We will guide you and give you all the info when you book.
Level: Dressmaking Next stage, you need to have sewn at least one garment before.
Duration: 7 hours including 30 mins lunchbreak

Please note we try to calculate how long a workshop will be and plan to finish each garment in the allocated time but this isn’t always possible, If you are unable to finish in the workshop time we will make sure you are confident with your garment to be finished at home.
We need a minimum of 4 people for this workshop go ahead, if this number isn’t achieved by one week before we will be contacting you with an alterative date, if you are unable to re-schedule we offer a full refund.
